We define interactive TV (ITV) as a user experience that involves at least one user and one, or more audiovisual and networked devices. Previous definitions were focused on the technological aspects and ignored the fact that even traditional TV is potentially interactive. For example, viewers compete mentally with quiz show participants, or co-operate between collocated groups. Moreover, viewers react emotionally to TV content, they record, edit and share TV content with friends and discuss about shows either in real-time, or afterwards. Watch the following clip on Maximillian Kolbe:
1.) Define the term ‘moral integrity’
Moral integrity is a very abstract term. It refers to a moral value and an ethical notion which is complex by nature. It is a virtue that lays the foundation for all other virtues and is therefore fundamental to all others. It also refers to a person who can stick by bad times even during adversity and misfortune.
2.) Describe why Maximillian Kolbe is regarded as a Christian of exemplary moral integrity.
Maximillian Kolbe is considered to be a Christian of exemplary moral integrity. This is because Maximillian Kolbe was arrested due to a number of offenses and was sent to a concentration camp in Auschwitz where he had no choice but to complete unusual tasks. Throughout his life in this exact camp he carried out actions that were considered to be illegal but his actions were considered through good circumstances and positive intentions. Christianity focuses on the major feature of acting according to what is just and right and Maximillian Kolbe had demonstrated these things.
3.) Outline Maximillians ethical actions/principles that he demonstrated in Auschwitz.
Maximillian accomplished many ethical actions in Auschwitz the place where he had been visible for his deep compassion and selflessness of the unfortunate and those who were disadvantaged of many supplies such as food in which he had secretly provided for them. In sequence, with his understanding he had the sympathy and will to comfort and cheer up others within the concentration camp. This shows how important and vital that Maximillian Kolbe had to support and aid others despite of the repercussions if he was caught doing so. The most striking ethical action he had demonstrated was sacrificing his life for another, which he had no relationships with. This man was tremendously thankful and admiring for Maximilliam Kolbe’s principles and actions because he gave this man another chance to live.
4.) Evaluate whether you think he made the right decision and provide research to support your answer. i.e. Catholic teachings.
Maximillian had made the right judgment in sacrificing his life for the sake of another. All the way through his sacrifice, he not only preserved the life and hope for one man and his family but to thousands of other people out there, he influenced and created an eruption of life and self-belief to all. The Catholic Church teaches this through some of the bible passages.
